Our Products

ANCA produces wood chips for the national and international market. The material for the pulp, paper, fiberboard and bioenergy. We are in the process of acquisition and installation of a plant for the production of wood pellets of 500.000,00 tons/year, for the use of residues from the manufacture of aserrio.

Caribbean Pine

The raw material used for the production of wood chips, is the origin of wood of Caribbean pine (Pinus Caribaca Var Hondurensis) of forestry plantations of the state company Maderas del Orinoco, C.A., which has about 450,000 hectares planted with Caribbean Pine.

The most important features of the chip of pine wood Caribbean are:

  • Basic density (12% humidity): 480 gr/cm3.
  • Green density: 870 gr/cm3.
  • Air-Dry Density: 560 gr/cm3.
  • Air-dry medium humidity: 39.64%.
  • Chips Dimensions:
    • Length;
      • Small: entre 15 a 18 mm.
      • Regular: 19 a 21 mm.
      • Big: 22 a 25 mm.
    • Thickness;
      • 4 a 8 mm.
  • Crust percentage: Maximum: 0.5%
  • Calorific Power (dry base), ASTM D 5865: 8.784 BTU/lb.
  • Calorific Power (natural base), ASTM D 5865: 5.302 BTU/lb.
  • Coal (dry base), ASTM D 5373: 51,80%
  • Solution of Carbon (dry base) ASTM D 3172: 19,96%

Orinoco River

The Orinoco River, placed to the southeast of Venezuela, is the biggest river of the country and it allows the navigation during the whole year. Across this river, it is possible to gain access up to the ports of Guyana City, the Bolivar State, including the port deprived of Astillas Nacionales ANCA, C.A., with ships of up to 40.000 tons.

The navigation channel of the river is of dredging permanent, which is carried out by the National Institute of pipes (INCANAL), which is responsible for the sites that require dredging.
